Abstract
This Correction refers to: Aljabery RN, Auda MA, Al-Rekabi HY, (2025). Anticancer Activity of Aqueous and Chloroform Extract of Spirulina platensis against SK-GT-4 human cancer cells. Advancements in Life Sciences, 12(3). https://doi.org/10.62940/als.v12i3.2440
Following an internal audit conducted after post-publication quality concerns were raised, the Editorial Office identified reference mismatches in the above article. The authors have confirmed the following corrections. These corrections are limited to reference citations and do not affect the experimental dataset, numerical results, tables, figures, statistical analyses, or the principal conclusions of the study.
Reference corrections
- Ref. [2] The citation supporting the general nutritional value and bioactive properties of microalgae was replaced with new Ref. [2] (Matos et al., 2021), below, which specifically reviews bioactive compounds of Arthrospira spp. (Spirulina) and their potential anticancer activities.
- Ref. [3] The citation supporting information related to Spirulina bioactive compounds and anticancer potential was replaced with new Ref. [3] (Braune et al., 2021), below, which discusses phycocyanin from Arthrospira platensis as a potential anticancer agent.
- Ref. [9] The citation supporting the GC-MS and bioactive compound analysis was replaced with new Ref. [9] (Gheda and Ismail, 2020), below, which reports natural products from cyanobacterial extracts with antimicrobial, antioxidant, and cytotoxic activities.
- Ref. [11] The citation supporting IC50 calculations for the MTT cytotoxicity assay was replaced with new Ref. [11] (Tantawy et al., 2020), below, which describes anticancer evaluation approaches and in vitro/in silico analyses of anticancer compounds.
- Ref. [20] The citation supporting anticancer activity of fatty acid components was replaced with new Ref. [20] (Bharath et al., 2021), below, which evaluates the anticancer potential of hexadecanoic acid from brown algae against cancer cells.
- Ref. [21] The citation supporting fatty acid-related anticancer activity was replaced with new Ref. [21] (Deng et al., 2023), below, which reports the antiproliferative and anti-invasive activities of oleic acid in cancer models.
